Hours of Operation:
  • Clerk’s Office: Open to the public 8:00 a.m. to 4:00* p.m. (Monday through Friday)
  • *Effective July 5, 2022, counter filing closes at 3:00 p.m.
  • Recorder’s Office – 9 am – 12, 1 – 4 pm – NOTE: They stop recording at 3:30 pm
Filing/Services Cutoff Time:
  • Courthouse: 1:00* pm cut-off in order to deliver documents for same day filing. There is no after hours drop box available at this time.
  • *Effective July 5, 2022, the cut-off time will be 12:30 p.m.

Please plan accordingly to accommodate these changes in hours for your counter filings and record retrieval.

We appreciate our legal community and the wonderful working relationships that we have enjoyed together since 1991. Our staff (yours and mine) start their days early in the morning, and many continue late into the evening. While many people in other careers are enjoying family time at home on Sunday evenings, our process servers may not. They are my uncelebrated heroes.

To keep their wheels on the road, we need to compensate them to counter inflation. We have increased our prices slightly across the board. This is a necessary expense for our performance levels to match expectations. Price lists provided upon request.

Monterey County Superior Court Reopens King City Courthouse for Court Services

The Monterey County Superior Court announced the reopening of the King City Courthouse at 250 Franciscan Way in King City to provide court services to the public.

The Court has begun providing Self-Help Center (SHC) services to the public on both an appointment and walk-in basis. The new King City SHC office will operate on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Starting on July 13, Traffic Court arraignments will also be heard in King City.

Riverside Superior Court Announces Transition to Electronic Filing Services for Civil

The Riverside County Superior Court is pleased to announce that on July 1, 2021, the court will transition to electronic filing (eFiling) for unlimited, limited, complex civil, unlawful detainers and small claims cases.
